Dina Segal
Co-President, Board Member
Dina Segal is the Chief Legal officer of Gusto. She leads Gusto’s legal, compliance, and government affairs teams in their mission to make Gusto’s vision a reality and help customers. Dina Segal joined Gusto in 2022 from Intuit, where she worked on products for small businesses and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, she was Deputy General Counsel at a venture backed fintech as well as leading law firms, representing customers in areas of product compliance, litigation, taxation, corporate governance and strategic transactions. Dina was selected as a woman of influence, top 100 leader, business woman of the year and top 40 under 40 by the San Diego Business Journal. Dina is on the Board of Directors of SunLaw.org. Dina holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from U.C. San Diego and a J.D. from University of Washington.
Karla Pinckes
Co-President, Board Member
Karla Pinckes, Esq. is a strategic and agile leader and lawyer with extensive in-house experience in a wide range of legal and non-legal areas, including securities, technology, ESG, privacy, e-commerce, IP protection, brand, marketing (social media & influencers), competition & claims, licensing, compliance and regulatory (FCPA, OFAC, AML, COI), complex commercial transactions, land use development as well as operations, talent acquisition and development. She is currently Senior Director, Corporate Legal & Securities at Viavi Solutions, Inc. where she provides corporate legal, securities and ESG support and guidance. Prior to joining Viavi, Karla served as General Counsel of Blockchains Inc. where she led the legal department and participated cross-functionally to help launch a self-sovereign identity application. Prior to that she served as Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for WD-40 Company and Corporate Counsel for The Ken Blanchard Companies. She began her career working for various civil litigation firms in San Diego, California. She is Co-President and on the Board of Directors of SunLaw, Inc. She is also on the Board of Directors of Girls Inc. and serves as an Advisor for Miracle Babies. She has served on the Board of Directors of the San Diego New Children’s Museum. She was nominated for the 2018 Athena Pinnacle Awards for Technology and the recipient of the 2016 Women in Wealth Award for Transactions Attorney of the Year by Wealth and Finance International. She is an advocate for diversity, inclusion, and equity and has a passion for leadership, learning, and the law. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, running and helping build community with other advocates for change.
Paula Brunoro
Treasurer
Paula is an experienced attorney with a legal specialization in tax law. She also has an extensive background in contracts, marketing, international expansion, and corporate governance. Currently, she serves as a Senior Corporate Counsel at Intuit Inc. and is part of the Transactions and Marketing Legal Team. In her current role, Paula's responsibilities include negotiating complex agreements with third-party vendors and partners, conducting marketing reviews, advising on new product launches, and assisting with international expansion into new markets. Before joining Intuit, Paula assisted individuals and small businesses with tax controversy, tax planning, international tax matters, contracts, corporate formation, and corporate governance. Paula is a native of Brazil, where she attended law school and is a licensed attorney. She holds an LL.M in Business and Corporate Law from USD School of Law and an LL.M in Taxation from NYU School of Law. Paula is a mother of two (very active) boys and a Siberian husky. When she is not working, Paula enjoys riding her Peloton, taking her dog Elsa for a run, or taking her kids to various sports activities.
Rose Bowlus

Rose is an Attorney with Rose Bowlus Law specializing in Commodities, Securities and Financial Services. She advises businesses of all sizes and sophistications ranging from early stage start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Rose also serves as Outside General Counsel for two emerging energy tech and renewables ventures. Previous to establishing her own law firm, Rose was in-house counsel for several of the nation’s largest financial institutions and energy companies across the U.S. Most recently, she served as Acting General Counsel for Calpine Energy Solutions, LLC in San Diego. Rose frequently speaks at various industry and professional events covering cutting-edge corporate, legal and ethics issues. She also serves in multiple leadership roles within organizations that promote diversity and gender equality, such as 2020 Women on Boards and Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy. Rose enjoys dedicating her free time to volunteering at leadership and confidence building events for women and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
Jennifer De Trani

Jennifer is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Nisos, a threat intelligence-focused cybersecurity company. Prior to joining Nisos, Jennifer co-founded a secure messaging company, Wickr, where she served as General Counsel for five years and continues to serve as Special Advisor. Jennifer has litigated as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, run a solo law practice where she began working with technology start-ups, and commenced her legal career at Cooley LLP. She attended Michigan Law School and Dartmouth College. She writes about technology, privacy and the law as a contributing author for Above the Law and also finds time to nurture several kids and pugs while staying sane via pilates, yoga and (pre-COVID) travel.
Megan Sieffert

Megan Sieffert has practiced law in both the private and public aerospace sectors. Spending the last two years working in house at a rapidly-growing startup building the world’s first commercial space station, Axiom Space, Megan has expanded her advocacy for the democratization of space through partnerships between the federal government and private industry. Megan worked in the biotechnology industry with Life Technologies enabling countertop DNA sequencing fresh out of law school, then joined the aerospace industry with NASA’s Office of Inspector General where she supported the detection of fraud, waste, and abuse while reviewing programs from NASA’s Earth Science Portfolio to the Commercial Crew Program. Megan is passionate about ethically improving life for all through the promotion of science and technology by way of the law, but enjoys learning more about our Pale Blue Dot by exploring the waterways of Texas on her coastal rowing boat and spending time in the great outdoors.
Priya Brandes

Priya is an experienced attorney with a background in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, products, regulatory, and litigation. She is currently an Assistant General Counsel at Intuit Inc. where she is a member of the Corporate, Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions Team. Priya has also supported products, privacy, and ethics matters at Intuit. Prior to joining Intuit in 2018, Priya’s practice focused on telecommunications, public law, regulatory law, and litigation. Priya enjoys photography and cooking in her spare time as well as being a mom to her two kids.
Marissa Blasing

Marissa is currently Corporate Counsel at Intuit Inc. where she is a member of the Corporate, Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions Team based in Mountain View, California. She is currently supporting Intuit’s corporate venture capital program, and working on securities, antitrust, M&A, ethics, transactions, and corporate governance matters. Marissa has extensive in-house experience having supported products, marketing, intellectual property, and privacy matters at both Intuit and Electronic Arts. Marissa enjoys hiking with Grace and Frankie, her two rescue dogs, reading, and gardening. She is passionate about growing her career and uplifting the women around her.
Yashina Burns

Yashina Burns is the VP of Legal and Privacy at DeepIntent, the leading healthcare advertising technology company. In her role, Yashina provides strategic guidance on complex legal and compliance issues impacting digital advertising and marketing, including privacy, AI, and IP. Prior to her work at DeepIntent, she advised technology startups on various matters ranging from company formation to IP protection and privacy. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Law, Societies, & Justice from the University of Washington and a J.D. from UC Irvine School of Law.
Nishma Doshi

Nishma Doshi is Corporate Counsel at Experian, leading mergers & acquisitions as well as the corporate venture capital program for North America. Prior to her work at Experian, she worked at medium and large law firms on various transactional and corporate matters. She received a B.A. from University of California, San Diego and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
